    Pride Festival

      NAMI Pride at Town Common is an LGBTQ Pride event being held on the Greenville Town Common, Saturday, June 26th 2021 from 10am-2pm. It is being organized by NAMI Pitt County and will feature participation from several local organizations.

      J.H.Rose High School and South Central High School have Gay-Straight Alliances.

    Organizations listed for one or more of the following: are designated by their parent organizations as Affirming/Welcoming, have significant population of LGBT congregants, or have participated in LGBT anti-discrimination efforts locally.


    Support/Advocacy

      PFLAG Greenville meets at 7pm on the second Thursday of each month at UUCG, 131 Oakmont Drive, Greenville NC 27858

      Free Mom Hugs NC-Greenville|ECU Chapter is a virtual sub-chapter of Free Mom Hugs NC. They organize the monthly Drag Queen Story Hour and held a Pride Ride (car-based parade) driving around Uptown Greenville with pride regalia in May 2021.

      Pitt Trans Support Group is a peer support group to provide a safe, affirming, and empathetic space for members and allies of the transgender community to find resources, make new friends, and support each other. We welcome all members of the transgender community, as well as their significant others, family, friends, and advocates. Meets on the third Tuesday of each month at Winterville Christian Church (257 Cooper St., Winterville, NC 28590). For more information email: pitttransgroup@yahoo.com


    Political/Activist

      Equality NC is a statewide advocacy/lobbying group based in Raleigh. They have a Northeast NC Chapter which includes Pitt County to work with local communities in the region on statewide and local efforts.

      LGBTQ+ Democrats of NC is a statewide auxiliary of the NC Democratic Party to elevate the voices and concerns of the LGBTQ+ Community within the State Democratic Party and encourage involvement of the LGBTQ+ Community and its allies with the Party. A Facebook Page for interest in starting a Pitt County Chapter is in place to try and start a local chapter, but statewide at-large membership is how to become involved until a local chapter is formed.


    Health/Medical

      PiCASO-Pitt County AIDS Service Organization is the local group providing education and testing for the prevention of HIV as well as support for persons living with HIV in Pitt and surrounding counties.

      LGBTQ+ Affirming Providers Directory The Health Sciences Sexuality and Gender Diversity Committee at the ECU Brody School of Medicine maintains an extensive list of LGBTQ+ Affirming Medical Providers in the area by area of specialty.

      NAMI Pitt County local chapter of the National Alliance for Mental Illness -- Through education, awareness, advocacy, and support, NAMI North Carolina represents the interests of all North Carolinians who are affected by mental health conditions, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, language, sexual orientation, or gender identity.


    Sports/Recreation

      Greenville Growlers is a traveling LGBTQ (all-gender-inclusive) Slow-Pitch Softball Team based in Greenville.

      AMF East Carolina Lanes located at 700 Red Banks Road has hosted LGBTQ Bowling Leagues or special events targeting the LGBTQ community in Greenville on numerous occasions going back as far as the late 90's.


    Bars/Clubs

      Crave closed in October 2018. There are currently no dedicated LGBTQ bars or nightclubs in town.
